Sweet spots for real

I am familiar with two nonprofits. Each organization is relatively strong. However, both boards and CEOs are seeking to imagine new futures. One theme each began to explore was whether there might be new possibilities through deep collaboration with each other. Each board needed to engage the fundamental opportunity and challenge in their own ways before they could pursue formal interaction. In this independent work, each board and CEO found their way to a sweet spot of high trust and openness in their own board rooms. Without that, neither would have taken steps forward. Together, the two boards are bringing that “sweet energy” together as they are exploring deep collaboration. It has been exciting to see the collaborative possibilities emerge.
